Our story

Far East Nashville Vietnamese restaurant and bar started serving in the heart of East Nashville since 2009.

Join us for Vietnamese cuisine that has a history dating back 4,000 years. It is a combination of all of the Southeast Asian cuisines and heavily influenced by Chinese and French cuisine. Vietnamese cuisine uses a lot of fresh and natural ingredients, and spices such as: herbs, ginger, coriander, star anise, and cinnamon.

Our owners were born and raised in a family with food industry background and grandfather being a French cuisine chef during the French Colonial-era. Their family now owned a shrimp farm in Lagi, South Vietnam. Saigon has every single aspect of Vietnamese cuisine, both traditional and modern. “ Anything that you need to find, Saigon has its all,” Vo said. They go back to Vietnam every year to visit their family and update new Vietnamese recipes.

Our Mission

Our mission is to introduce Vietnamese cuisine to our second home, Nashville, and connecting traditional cuisine with new cooking techniques and modern presentation. Our kitchen team focuses on not only traditional dishes but also new Vietnamese cuisine, which pay more attention on healthy and creative ingredients.

We commit to “Great food, great service, and great atmosphere” and will try to make it our tradition here at Far East.

We are tourists that end up in Nashville a couple of times a year. We’ve decided this was the best meal we’ve ever had in Nashville proper. I recommend the ginger chicken rice plate, the bbq pork sandwich, or noodle bowl.

Beyond impressed!!! The staff was AMAZING. The drinks were so tasty. And the FOOD!! My tastebuds were soo tickled. We had 3 appetizers and every one of them was delightful. We ordered 3 different dishes with the intent of sharing and tasting but the food was so good, none of could stop. I will definitely be making this a regular stop. Such a happy place. 🥰🥰🥰
